“I saw a large ocean buoy sitting in dry dock nine years ago. It was a beautiful form out of the water. I have been making flagstone Land Buoys since that experience. I love the interior pigment of the broken stone. As a curious child I learned from the unknown. As an adult this curiosity is ordered passion and desire, thus being the foundation of my Art. This is where the studio name Noirberry comes from. Sometimes dark ideas need a place to become beautiful.”
